For Saffron

When Helen has asked Xander the night before during his shift at the club to come by the club the next day to help her with something, he assumed it was because he was also on the building crew and she needed help fixing something. So after gathering up some tools, he made his way to the club, letting himself inside since he assumed by the unlocked door that Helen was already there.

"Helen? Hello?" He called as he walked through the emtpy Willows Room towards the stairs to the Catscratch Club. "I'm here. Whatcha need?"

Xander just kind of drifted for a moment, body some how keeping the same position before slowing rolling out and to the side of Helen, so he could lay beside her.

If he'd been terrified before, the feeling the crept up on him as he became more aware was ten times worse. This was it. The sex had been nice...oh who was he kidding, it had been the best thing ever! But now, well he was pretty sure Helen wasn't going to kill her best dancer so she'd just send him on his not so merry way. He relished the warm feeling of laying beside her for a moment...before carefully trying to squirm out of her embrace. Might as well do it himself right?

Oh dear.

Sated and pleased, Saffron turned onto her side to face Xander, and frowned slightly when she noticed the change that came over him. This was the crucial moment, she knew, based on what he'd told her, and she could see his fear creeping back in. That just wouldn't do.

She pulled him gently back towards her as he tried to scoot away, placing a hand tenderly to the side of his face so she could gently prompt him to turn and look at her. "You have somewhere you need to be, sugar, that's got you trying to run off in a hurry?" she said, giving him a sweet smile.

At first he'd resisted her pull but Xander finally gave in with a small sigh and relaxed next to her. It took another moment before he finally looked over at her, nervous and not sure what he was going to find. "I...was just leaving this. That's...how it works right?" Sure, everything so far had been different then his previous experiences but that didn't mean afterwards would be too.

"No," Saffron replied simply. She snuggled right up against Xander, one of her legs draped over his, and kissed him sweetly.

"I'm not about to kick you out, if that's what you're thinking," she said. "If you'd prefer to leave, I won't stop you, but I'd rather you stay for a little while. I don't have anywhere I need to be for a few hours yet."

Xander could only blink and stare at her for a moment. Then it took a another moment before he forced himself to relax. It was another few deep breaths before he curled up against her again. "Thank you..." He said softly, before kissing her again. Sure it was going to take a little while before it sunk in that she meant it...but this was a good start.

Saffron brought a hand up to cup his cheek, pleased he'd decided to stay. "I'm just glad you let me do this for you," she said against Xander's lips, and though she knew the answer she asked the question anyway. "It was good, right?"

"Very good." Was the immediate answer that came to mind. Xander couldn't think of anything else as he just took a deep breath and relaxed, closing his eyes sleepily. It was very of the good.
