"Xander!" Saffron's eyes widened in alarm, her own fork falling to her plate with a clatter as she sprang over to squeeze in right next to him, not caring that her ribs absolutely screamed in protest at the abrupt movement.
She thumped lightly on his back for a moment, relaxing when he recovered enough to take a drink. "Should I warn you next time I'm gonna try and play footsie?" she said lightly, brushing his hair back from his forehead and pressing a kiss to his temple.
