Saffron returned Xander's kiss gladly, her hand lifting to caress his cheek, any twinges of pain from her ribs forgotten as she was driven thoroughly to distraction by the feel of his lips on hers.

"I love you too, baby," she replied, and she kept him close for a moment, brushing her thumb over his lips before she kissed him again and released him. "I have something for you, back home. It's only part of what I wanted to give you, but I'll have to owe you on the rest until I'm healed up."
